RT Racing have been carrying out TVR chassis restorations for almost 20 years, during this time we have rebuilt chassis from TVR Vixens to Tuscans.
A Complete Chassis Service
Our services range from a simple crack repair to a full TVR chassis restoration. Outrigger replacement, accident damage, chassis straightening and strengthening is all done in house at our Sheffield based workshop. For any TVR chassis issues please give us a call on 0114 281 7507.
How we do it...
Our complete TVR chassis restoration starts with a full body lift off and the car stripped to a bare chassis. The chassis, wishbones and other brackets and mounts shot blasted to remove all traces of corrosion.
Once complete and free of all traces of rust the chassis is carefully inspected and checked for alignment on our in house jig.
Re-Tube, New Mounts and Plates
The chassis is then re-tubed in all areas necessary along with mounting plates and body mounts replaced as required. Once done a further chassis alignment check is carried out, along with a final sandblast to key all surfaces in anticipation of powder coating.
Your chassis is then powder coated along with all wishbones etc before re assembly, wax oiling and refitting the body.
